There is absolutely no path for TX to be in the top 4.
Zero, nada, no-ting.
MM I guess the selection committee didn't get the memo Stupid, pretty unsupported decision based on most of their past precedents of taking a major conference winner, especially being undefeated. Although there is really no doubt that FSU is the weakest of the top 5 or 6 contenders & play in an overall weak-azz conference compared to the other 4 major conferences, ordinarily FSU would have been taken as has happened in the past for the most part. This was a political decision based on the whining of TX, & they managed to justify it simply because TX beat AL in an early game when they've ALWAYS weighted year end performance over early season performance. JMO which doesn't matter at all & I am not an avid supporter of any of the contenders. MM Comes down to 13 people making the picks. And they even admit that it's not based on performance, it's based on the ability to draw viewers.

If Georgia had won; and they used same logic FSU would still be out.

As I said before, past precedent says FSU should have been selected, even though they are not a top 4, probably not even a top 7 team.
Based on merit & performance over the year & strength of schedule, leaving GA out & putting TX in defies logic IMO.
But the committee is obviously taking some other unknown (to us) logic into consideration.

I think Washington and Bama are the 2 best out of the four chosen. I think GA is better than TX but the SEC championship game is brutal, it guarantees that a marquee team will lose their last game. Bad timing for GA Best team out of the 4 playing will be TX. They go to Tuscaloosa and beat them by 2 scores means they are dead meat at a neutral site. We will revisit this
