I’m considering selling one of my favorite rifles. I know, probably dumb on my part. However, I have gone to hunting suppressed only.
What I have is a Remington 700 Mountain rifle with detachable bottom metal chambered in 7mm-08. It is topped with a Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x36 in Leupold rings. I also have the original box for both the rifle and scope.
I would like to find out what a fair price is for this rifle? It is a great rifle, it has been babied for sure but has been hunted with.
Short action... desirable cartridge, perfect scope for the rig. If you don't get $1200 for the package I'd be surprised.
The market has slowed down lately, esp with the holidays. But the harder to find, quality stuff still is in demand

I sold mine back in May. It had 18 rounds through it. Got a couple deer with it but had no hunting marks. It was a DBM, J bolt, I believe I purchased in 2000. Leupold varix11c 3x9x40. I had the boxes for rifle and scope also. It was a .260, walnut blued. As soon as someone locally heard I wanted to sell it they came over with 1500 cash. I threw in 2 boxes of core lokt and the 2 remaining shells from original box. We were both happy. Might have been just the right person at the right time.
