I never realized the amount of money given to US universities by certain foreign countries. Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Egypt among others give billions of dollars to US universities. The top recipients have been Cornell, Georgetown, Texas A&M and Northwestern supposedly. Seems like an odd mix of schools.

With all of this money coming in, why does college cost so much ?? I wonder who really ends up with it in the end ??

That's how all those foreign students get admitted to the those colleges and your kids does not get in. They make a donation, and some how all of the kids from their countries get accepted. Countries and rich parents from those countries do the same thing. The American way all day, every day!

You should do research and see how many schools China dumps money into. here at UF, were it not for the governments of China and India, I doubt the STEM colleges could keep their doors open. The vast majority of students are NOT American. More and more of the faculty is now also foreign. I have heard that some classes are conducted in Chinese.

Been going on for decades. I went to school with a guy who later became the head of China’s ministry of mines. Dude was book smart, but had less than zero mechanical skills. It’s just another way these countries steal our tech. That’s the real reason the chicoms are here.

Cornell = NYC
Georgetown = DC
Texas A&M = not sure about this one.. oil money? Houston
Northwestern = Chicago
