Heavy side? Huh? Ken Ferrell aluminum low 30mm rings are just 1.65 oz each! Lighter than most. And I actually think they are more aesthetically pleasing than a lot of rings out there. Ever seen ARC MBRACE rings? Fugly! SD, my Farrells are made in Steel and are heavier than any other rings I have. I have not tried the Aluminum ones. That makes more sense.

Based on the german translation in the catalog the henneberger appear to be steel rings, so might not be much lighter if at at all than the farrell steel rings. Would be tough to be the weight on the farrell low aluminum rings I think. Still might try the henneberger for a Kimber Montana I'm swapping scopes on.

Not a picatinny option, but DNZ's get them pretty low.

Another brand tp check is TPS.
Don’t recall how low they go.

I’m thinking of trying a set. temporary image upload

Thanks for the info! Just ordered a set, but sounds like 4-6 weeks out. If they are built well, made of aluminum, and look as good as they do in the pics, I’ll be ordering more!

For those that have used the hennebergers, what are your thoughts? I’m needing some really low rings and these look perfect but would like to hear from someone that has actually used them

I have new APA 30mm lows I would sell. Using the Hawkins hybrid instead.

I’m needing some really low rings and these look perfect but would like to hear from someone that has actually used them For a 30mm straight tube scope setup that had to be as low as possible, I bought the Hennebergers. IMO, the lowest and best option. Excellent quality, super light, and this is what I am using going forward. The price point far exceeds the value as compared to other premium scope rings. But for kickers like the 375, I am staying with bedded Steel Farrells.

One caution I would add is be careful if using a full rail. I used some low 30mm APA rings (.750) and the scope center area contacted the rail. I had to remove some of the lugs from the rail so there was no contact.

Seekins 30mm on the left. Henneberger HMS 30mm on the right. The Seekins were the lowest I could find until I discovered the Henneberger. Ordered from optics-trade.eu in Germany. Got them in 2 days!

I got those henneberger 30mm lows also and they are 3.0 oz on my scale but it rounds to the half oz, so somewhere between 2.75 and 3.25 oz for the pair.
If one wanted to mirror that low in 1” weaver detach top mount old schools in low do the trick. And that puts your center of eye about 2.3mm lower than the 30mm option. So if you find you’re just not quite low enough with 30 then go to the 1” weaver and that’s as low as you can get.
