I have no idea as to the value of this shotgun. I believe it was made in the teens or early 20's. Serial# 211691. 28" Imp. Cyl. bbl. I've never shot it and it appears someone refinished the stock sometime before I got it (1970's). Marked "The Sportsman" with light engraving on the receiver. Has a very small crack on the bottom of the forearm at the receiver. Any info would be appreciated.
It's a Remington 11 "Sportsman" shotgun. They're based on the Browning A5 design. Savage made one that was called the 720. This has the more desirable safety that's on the outside of the trigger guard. The crack in the bottom of the forearm is a common ailment of them, because that piece of wood was very thin, and prone to cracking, especially if you didn't tighten the nut.
Be careful taking them apart - They're a real pain to put back together if you don't know what you're doing!
EDIT: It was made in 1918

Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled guns yearning to shoot free, The wretched refuse of your teeming safes and gun racks.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door of my workbench.
Those are cool shotguns. As stated they are a Remington shotgun on the browning patent. I own 4 of them. A 20 gauge I bought to match my dad’s and then another 20, 16 and 12 gauge that my grandfather bought for him and my uncle and my dad. I have them all now. 400-450 seems to be the going rate best I remember. Google how to set up the friction rings for low versus high brass shells.
I've attached a couple of pics of the butt stock. I guess it could have been replaced in the first 30 yrs. of it's life, but I know it hasn't in the last fifty yrs. since I've owned it.
Seems to be a little interest in it so let's ask $475. shipped from an individual to your FFL. It is apparently 105 years old (that's 31 years older than me and probably in better shape)!

As stated earlier..
I’d trade a browning auto 5 barrel for it if you’re wanting to trade and need a barrel
