I traded a guy a GSG MP40 rifle today for a Walther PPQ 9MM and some mags. I have to go back Friday afternoon to pick it up. Thanks to our Gov Smokeapolis! I wonder how the out of towners ar selling at our gun shows. I think I'll go to the next one and see!

Crimes with guns about to drop precipitously there in Colorado.
At least with 1 or 2 day old guns…

You can't sell or trade washout using a FFL? Nope! It sure takes the fun out of it!

On the other hand that PPQ has a sweet trigger on it. I was looking at one today.

Did you have to pay or collect a tax also? It's 35 bucks total. Not sure how they break it down. But it's stealing plain and simple!

The 3 day wait statute exempts antiques and C&R, but most local gun stores are so paranoid that they apply the 3 day wait to everything, just like they require the background check. I even printed out a copy of the statute to show them, but they wouldnt budge. Cant say as I blame them for not wanting to jeopardize their livelihood. I'm thinking the Colorado Gun Collectors Association has already figured this out, so no 3 day wait at their annual show in May, since they only allow C&R or earlier weapons.

I guess it's what you have to work with. It doesn't make sense, when CC permits, informs law enforcement your legal! But common sense is obsolete nowadays! Good luck.

I went through this last month. Your 72 hours starts when you finish the 4473. I am at a loss on how all this gets past Bruen. Even bigger is how all these laws weren't stricken off the books post-Bruen.

They are REALLY standing their ground! Limiting the kinds of guns they consider collectible.
Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.

Years ago TN had a 15 day (Calendar days) waiting period for handguns. After 15 days if the dealer had not heard back on the background check, he could release the gun to you. Most of the time, they never heard anything back (less work for the government not to reply), so you had to wait it out. That went away somewhere in the mid to late 80's best as I remember.

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....
