What health issues have you had through the years?
I’ve had a couple hernia surgeries, broken ankle, simple prostatectomy. I’ve been pretty healthy all in all.

I had a cold this week, other that just job related injuries usually easily remedied with minor surgery or stitches.

Well, I guess I’ve earned my share of our “free” health care, though I really wasn’t trying.

3 years old, 63 stitches in my arm after playing in a ringer washer.
5 years old, surgery for ‘lazy eye’
24 - adenoids
28 - broken ankle playing flag football - still have the screws in my ankle
32 - rare blood disorder - splenectomy - got hospitalized in for 4 days in quarantine after that when they thought I had flesh-eating disease. Turns out it was poison ivy from when I went fishing a week after my splenectomy and laid on the riverbank to rest.
A couple more surgeries for deviated septum
Hemorrhoidectomy
Another eye surgery at 55.
I’ve got an upcoming appointment with a surgeon for a mild umbilical hernia.

I feel pretty healthy, too.

Overall pretty healthy.

I’m 59.
Hernia
Appendix
Had a tumor removed from my foot
Vasectomy
Vasectomy reversal
Angiogram through my wrist
Put a chainsaw through my knee while it was running once too
Back flipped off a diving board and hit my head had a few stiches from that.

And the worst of all

Had to have circumcision correction when I was 7. I remember that pain like it was yesterday. 7 year olds wake up with a kickstand.

I don't go to doctors and I don't take drugs.

I did go all in for the 50 year old check up event, Cat Scan, anal probe and everything else they were selling.

They said I was good for another 50..

Insurance companies ❤ me.

I got my appendix taken out when I was 5 or 6 years old. I haven’t been to a Dr. since then. At all. For anything. And I’m 63 years old now.

None so far. I’m not as old as most of you😂 I’m sure that my day is coming. No surgeries, or longterm meds as of yet.

5 major right shoulder surgeries. 3 left knee surgeries. Double hernia surgery. Stitches half a dozen times. 2 broken collar bones. Vasectomy. Major tinnitus. Hearing loss. Chronic headaches. Several moderate spinal issues. Meniscus tear and cysts in right knee. I am sure I am forgetting something.

I been lucky up to this point at 63 only had nose & cataract surgery. Have only spent 1 night in hospital from a car accident when I was 17. I thank the good lord for watching over me for all those years. At my age I know my health could go south fast so I'm going to take it one day at a time.

2 hernia surgeries.
Chainsaw across my shin.
Did this on my woodsplitter. Never went to the doctor, I happened to have a case of Saline here, wrapping it with gauze, then soaking it so the gauze would fall off. Honestly, it hurt alot and had several fingers of 40 creek before my evening bandage changes.

Well, I'm sure there are others who have experienced more than I have, but here goes.
1 - age 6 - stitches from trying to peel a green peach
2 - age 14 - broke left elbow (football)
3 - age 15 - tonsillectomy
4 - age 16 - repairs to left elbow
5 - age 17 - broke left collar bone (bucked off horse)
6 - age 41 - head on car wreck
a. Left hip broken and dislocated - surgery to repair
b. Left foot - three broken bones
c. Right heel crushed - surgery to repair
7. - age 55 - left hip replacement (see #6)
8. - age 65 - right thumb (trigger finger)
9. - age 69 - right shoulder (old football injury)
10. - age 71 - right ankle pinned (see #6)
11. - looking at having right hip replaced*
12. - looked AT having my left elbow replaced. **

* - anytime a joint is damaged, it begins to deteriorate. In the wreck, when my right heel was crushed, it jammed my right femur into the pelvis. Over the last 30 years, my right hip has slowly deteriorated. Now it's bone on bone!

** - elbow replacement reduces weight capacity in the left arm to 5 pounds. Since I'm still active outside, if I were to fall and damage the elbow replacement, it can't be repaired. 🤕 Thanks doc, I'll pass!

1990 - Bilateral knee dislocation. Numerous procedures to correct the initial injuries and later years scar tissue clean outs.

2021 - Vasectomy

2022 - Lots of visits to decide on action plan for central canal spinal stenosis. LOTS of PT and a couple epidurals and I'm about as good as I'm going to be. No pain, but some random numbness.
