We've had passing discussion of it here before, but never really identified the object.

Cool rifle and suppressor. I’d have liked to have heard what the IDF used for optics. If it were Leupold or something else.

.22’s are far more lethal than most realize. I imagine they would be quite effective for incapacitating the enemy.

Lemming, don't know if Eric was trying to keep it real with that Leupold, or even if that Leupold is period correct.

Maybe someone more resourceful than I might find many photo's of the gun in use in the IDF, or further info. A totally interesting & informative subject IMO.

Sorry dirt, I didn't watch this vid but have seen many on the subject. Imagine, a couple shooters willing to pull the trigger on crotch or knee cap shots. Stop a riot, maybe a small invasion for 5 bucks worth of ammo..

gunzo, apparently, that's exactly what they were using it for back in the day. And. 22lr ammo was probably even less expensive back then. Eric was doing pretty good with that Ruger out to I think 251 yds. He got a little confused with mils when he got out to there, but I thought he made a pretty good representation of what that fairly inexpensive weapons platform could do. I've got a couple of guns that are quite capable of what he was doing, but they are more recent, more elegant, and more expensive than that Ruger 10/22 was. Israelis had to come up with a tactical, less lethal, inexpensive, and definitive solution to that problem. I'd say they hit most of the buttons.

I'd say they hit most of the ragheads they were aiming at, as well. Nothing like creating a bunch of Darwin Award contenders with a few crotch shots!

Col Cooper had a chapter in one of his books touting the.22 for disabling riot leaders by putting one in their lungs. Thought it wouldn’t kill them but would shut them up and send them to the hospital

I’ve read somewhere, perhaps a thread here at one time, that suppressed .22s were used (Israel?) to gut shoot riot leaders. Riots fell apart when the leader suddenly felt sick.

I seen a video where they were shooting the rioters in the buttocks and it was working! We need to do that over here especially when they shut down traffic.
