Fair enough... I assume that may be location dependent for you.

For me... 95% is 2 day (3 max).

The things they drop ship from NAPA, Advance, Vevor are typically 3 days max.

The China direct stuff is indeed 10+/- days, but the prices crush Amazon. i.e. Amazon advance buys and retails in 2 days at a premium.

My shipping experience is far different from yours. Amazon Fulfillment is 5-6 miles away. Most of the time it's that evening or no more than 2 days.

It keeps me from rubbing elbows with inbred mouth breathing animals out in the public domain. I would pay alot more to avoid interacting with society.

The UPS guy and the Fed Ex lady always toss my dogs biscuits, even when they have nothing to deliver to my house. So much so that when I'm walking my dogs, and a van of any type comes our way, they frantically pull me towards it, anticipating a biscuit. If a substitute driver is in a UPS or Fed Ex truck, my dogs look positively crestfallen when he just drives by our yard without tossing a biscuit.

I don't know how they do it. I've ordered stuff late at night and it's delivered the next day. It's also convenient to order stuff to be sent to my kids (and grandkids) who are all out of state and one is out of the country.

The wife wears out their shipping on almost a daily basis. Living in the sticks, most odd ball purchases require a 130-mile one way drive, and even then, there's no assurance one will fulfill his needs on the other end. Cookie tracks prices and gets better deals on even trivial stuff than we can do locally. Never used any of their streaming services.

I do wish I had invested in the cardboard box industry some years back. About every three months, we do a box/brush pile burn that is spectacular.

Dumped Prime just last week. Now with my wife gone I don't buy all that much stuff and what I do buy I'm not in a huge hurry to receive.

Dumped the Costco membership too. No need to buy in bulk and I much prefer the upscale grocery stores for selection and better clientele.

My UPS and FedEx drivers aren't dudes, and they're both cuter than heck. Ain't gonna lie - I wouldn't mind climbing aboard and give 'em a treat. whistle

The Amazon drivers though - not so much. Kinda skanky like the USPS drivers. Purple hair, nose rings, tats, and sometimes even 5 o'clock shadow. eek

Taking the TV out of the equation. Yes, pretty easy to recoup the $12 / month on shipping alone.

Can't count how many times I've rolled into town for a miscellaneous item that was nowhere to be found. Couple bucks in fuel, hour round trip in windshield time. Anymore I'll hit the fuggin' 'Buy Now' button and be done with it.

Watch a couple shows/movies in the month, more value added.

^^^This^^^

I save enough gas money not having to drive to town, by ordering on Amazon, to easily pay for it.

Not to mention the free 2 & 3 day shipping on most items.

And there are lots of great movies and Prime Original Series too. Great documentary’s too.
I’m watching the 2nd Season of Reacher right now.

And also TNF 🏈. And lots of reruns of classic shows, too

Money well spent, IMO !
