I would like to trade it but nothing really catches my attention. My son wants me to keep it. I want him to take it to his house but he doesn't have the room for it.

The first tractor I ever drove was a 1969 175 Massey-Ferguson. I thought it was cool as could be. I was in my early teens.

Least favorite was a Farmall H in the winter when the 6volt battery would barely, or wouldn't, turn it over and there was ice in the fuel lines and carb. Especially when you woke up to a foot of heavy wet snow on the ground and the lane needed to be plowed "right now". You were soaked in ice water and sweat by the time it fired up and stayed running. Learned ro cuss at a very young age.

First tractor I ever drove was my dad's 1947 Farmall Cub. I was five years old then, in 1953. My son has it now and had it fully restored.

Hated all of them on the farm when I was young. WD-9 or 600 international. Dirt so thick summerfallowing that you had to stop because you couldn’t see the front tire. It sucked even on a good day. When I returned home at age 21 my dad had bought a 5020 John Deere with cab. That was good. Edk

We farmed a 180 acre dairy farm for many years with just one Ford 8N. Plowing, discing, cultivating, spreading manure, mowing, raking, baling, and hauling hay. Skidded more than a few logs and built miles of fence with all the supplies on a drawbar platform. After my grandfather retired we got his 8N and in later years we got a Ford 600. Mostly because it had a good hydraulic bucket and Dad got it very reasonably from a retiring neighbor.

I started out at 5 years old driving the 8N while Dad fixed fence. I’d stand straddle the transmission and hold onto the steering wheel. When Dad called for me to stop, I’d push against the steering wheel to gain a little leverage to hold the clutch down while he made whatever repairs to the fence. Then I’d rock my weight off the clutch to let the tractor roll forward to the next post. Looking back it probably saved Dad many hours and thousands of steps not having to get on and off the tractor every time it needed moved.

Awful lot of farming has been done and is still being done with 8Ns.

53 Ford NAA.

We had a Allis Chalmers WD45. Most of the tasks I was doing other than working ground I used the WD. Handy little tractor. That was during the 70s and it was an old tractor then. I'm pretty much considered it my tractor as a kid.

As a kid, it was an Allis Chalmers ED-40 (not a typo). I think it was a 1961.

Fast forward today we STILL run all orange on the tree farm. Just all 4 are Kubotas.

Favorite tractor on the farm EVER was an 80's International 584. Just an absolute PLEASURE to run !!!

We had 4 tractors on the farm of 640 acres. 2 were A model John Deere one which dad bought in 1946 after getting out of WW2 and saved his money. That tractor still had the original Goodyear rear tires when it was sold in 1985. The others were a Minneapolis Moline model U that I used for tilling until dad upgraded to a Minneapolis Moline model GB.
That had about 60 hp. It also had an umbrella that was much appreciated working those long days in the summer sun.

Neighbor bought an Oliver 2255 with front wheel assist that absolutely fascinated me in the early 70's. Thought it was the best thing going until the Fiat Hesstons were introduced.
