Buy one! I shot a 300 win mag that was very accurate. Looking at a 308 thumbhole stock model. Then removing the stock and adding the precision stock.

They have the thumb hole stock in 6.5 Creed for $999.99. That’s very tempting.

Just picked up my .300 WM S20 from my FFL. First impressions are very positive. It doesn’t seem as heavy as the specs claim. Fit and finish are excellent. Seems to be an awful lot of rifle for the money. Now I just need to mount some glass and see how she shoots. If load development goes well, this rifle might be going with me to Africa in 2024.

This is a rifle that has interested me for awhile. Sorry to hijack but can someone who has handled one comment if the synthetic stock is "tacky" feeling? I held a Sauer with a synthetic stock and the tackiness of the stock drove me nuts
Thanks

The deal EuroOptics had or still has on the Sako s20 made my palms sweaty when they first published their price.
I knew those rifle would be accurate. Stock configuration aside. It was a sweet opportunity to buy a really good rifle at a low price.
Sadly, I couldn’t see myself needing more redundancy in my rifle portfolio than I already had.
I refuse to even look at those rifles at EO out of fear, I might relapse and buy a few up.

I had one for awhile. Never fired it, but I'd bet they shoot well.
The stock does feel tacky to me . . . reminded me of the plastic car models I used to build, but overlaid on a very solid aluminum skeleton.
They do feel heavy for sure, and I'd believe the advertised weight is pretty accurate. Probably over 8lbs, except maybe the 20" 308. The modular design adds a lot of weight.
At the end of the day, the stock and weight caused me to send it down the road unfired.

First five shots, factory Norma 143 Bondstrike ammo, 6.5 PRC, Arken EPL 3-24x. That's a 1/2" square. Superb package, IMO/IME
