Since it looks like the Garmin Xero C1 Pro won't be here for a bit, and I'm not interested in any load development without a chrony, I've decided to start a third project to keep me busy until I can get out shooting. The 7mm PRC and 7×57 will just have to wait. Sucky circumstances, a buddy of mine lost his hunting lease of over 30 years and has started selling off some stuff. I've been offered an as new Tikka T3x Super Varmint, in 243 Winchester, with a 24" 1:8 twist barrel. Picked up some 103gr Hornady ELD-X bullets in anticipation for the 8 twist. I have an ample supply of H1000, H4831sc, Retumbo, IMR4064, and both flavors of 4350. Started looking around for loads, comparing it with the 6mm CM, all the usual stuff before starting/gearing up. Anyone already using a 243 Win with a 24" 8 twist? Other bullets to look for to take advantage of an 8? Haven't had/shot a 243 Win in a while...

Plain old Hornady 105 grain HPBT's are a really good bullet in the 243/6CM. You have alot of good powders for them and man, they have worked well in accuracy and hunting.

I'm looking to add a 6mm/243 to the mix. I'm almost decided on what I want to do, something in stainless. But this exact model caught my eye today, I like everything about it except it's not stainless.

Have fun!
