Just saw in NY a bill introduced to force Chick-fil-A to open on Sunday. Might be good time to pull out.

Based on their history, I doubt Chick-Fil-A is going to let anyone tell them what to do unless they want to, especially in regards to compromising religious beliefs.

New York politicians, doing the important work.
If Chik Fil A hosted drag queen beauty contests for seven year olds, I bet they would leave it alone.

How many millions are the Newyork tax payers going to fork over and still lose, when Newyork state issued the permit to do business they knew what the deal was with chick-fil-a good luck with that, let alone the religious angle.

Did you actually read the article?
The proposed bill is that all FUTURE contracts for food concession on NYS Thruway system rest stops will require 7 days a week service.
Chic-fil-A currently has 7 concession locations at thruway rest stops with 30 year contracts. EXISTING contracts are not affected.

I don’t think a law needs to be passed, but future contracts should probably include Sunday service. It’s a restaurant on a thruway rest stop. Sunday is the biggest travel day there is. People traveling are unable to buy food because the place is closed. Oh, well not my problem.

Well, I guess if the legislature can force a business to be open then it's only fair that the legislature can be forced to be at the office on the days they normally take off.
The difference is Chic-fil-a actually provides a service people want and cause no harm providing it.

CF will likely shrug and not bid to have future stores on the thruway.
In the state's defense, a thruway isn't like an interstate where people can get off and on to find food and gas. It makes sense to require businesses who contract to provide services there do so around the clock. No business is forced to bid.
This is yet another thread where the OP creates a gross exaggeration of the facts - either out of ignorance or to create clickbait.

Did you actually read the article? I think that's asking a little much of our resident news parrots. Idiots, the lot of them.

Just saw in NY a bill introduced to force Chick-fil-A to open on Sunday. Might be good time to pull out. Wow! How does our government legally force a business to be open on a particular day? I don't see how that will survive challenge, just on basic freedoms grounds, let alone the First Amendment right to free exercise of one's religion.

^^^^TRH- Government over reach is becoming a thing of the past (as in no such thing) and needs to be nipped NOW.
