Several, small from Phillipines and Okinawa during VietNam war. They all finished the show with "Danny Boy" or "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" by the Animals. Sometime during the show they would do "If You're Going to San Francisco" by the Mommas & Pappas. Always sounded like "EEEEEP YOU GOEEEN to SanPranCeesco........

Can't quite remember it, but an army buddy told me we saw Bob Hope at Christmas show in Bearcat in 1967. Had Charlton Heston visit our battery base camp while I was there.

Saw the Monkees at Ft Bliss back in the 80s. Great show. Also saw Nitty Gritty Dirt Band at Ft Lewis sometime in the 90s. Another great show.

I was at a remote missile site in Alaska. Every so often they would bring a small band up to play in our mess hall. It happened about 3 times as I recall. All 3 bands were good. I have no idea if anyone from the bands that showed up ever got famous. I did see Ray Charles for about an hour at Ft. Leonard Wood on the 4th of July 1973. (Basic Training) We had to be back at the barracks by like 9:30 while the show was still going on so I only got to see about 3 songs.
