I have a Model 11 in 16 gauge, and I absolutely love it.
I do as well. It’s been a flawless dedicated worker for a long time.

I have this factory ammo I will sell along with the shotgun for an additional $25. shipped separately. Full box of SuperX #6, 20rds. of Rem. #1buck, 8rds. of Rem #6, 2rds of Rem #8, 4rds. of Rem rifled slugs.
That’s a nice gun. I have a model 11 in 16g that is in fantastic shape. FYI the Sportsman was introduced in 20g in 1930 and 12 and 16 in 1931. So it’s newer than was posted. They are great guns.
There should be some letters at the rear right of the barrel. Near the receiver. That is how you date Remingtons. Post the 3 or 4 letters and I’ll tell you when it was made.
Seems to be a fair amount difference as to where the date code is and what the actual date is. Hell, let's just leave it as old, a few years one way or the other probably isn't going to make a difference to anybody interested in it. Thanks for the comments though.
I had at one time, many years ago, model 11 in 12 ga. Were the 16ga. Model made with a smaller receiver or did Rem just use the 12ga. receivers? Can't tell from the pics. Are all the Friction rings there? Any screws missing? Is there a "Pheasant" engraved on the left side of receiver? Thanks. You can reply with a PM if you'd like as I'm serious about possible purchase.
