Well looks like I have been scammed by oldguy03 $800 personal check cashed and scope not sent phone is disconnected! Beware expensive lesson!

He received check USPS tracking and cashed 12-13

then promised delivery with tracking never happened

How many post did oldguy3 have,Before he turned conartist,If that's the case

Get law enforcement involved, cant let these scammers get away with this or it will continue.

May i suggest you post all of his contact information right here right now. If for no other reason than to establish public record in case, somebody else googles up this guys name and address. But also, in case somebody on the campfire lives close by?

I know it’s a longshot, but several years ago, I had a guy that was several months slow to ship something for me, and a knock on the door by a local sheriffs deputy kicked things in gear.

Called local Sheriff Dept no help but Jay Cooper is deceased! Sheriff dept told me to contact my local police dept.

Interestingly he has zero recorded posts in the classifieds, but he’s been around a bit. So potentially a hijacked account, or someone who has been here for a bit and decided to get some free Christmas money.

Contact the Sherriff in the county for Cedar Point, AL and file a report.

I did they told me to file report at my local Police Dept. ! I filed a Federal Interstate Check cashing Fraud report with the Feds.

If nothing else, may he burn in hell … no good POS!!!

Good morning,
I'm selling my 700 CDL SF in 30-06 stainless steel with a fluted barrel in excellent condition. The gun has about 150 rounds fired and shoots great. The bore is clean, and the stock is in very great condition. I am only selling this rifle because I would like to shoot further; other than that, this is a wonderful rifle. That’s odd. I swear the first time I read through his past posts, he had a pile from 2015 and earlier and then nothing until October 2023. Hence my comment. Clearly that’s not the case though.

Scammer alert bump.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

A] BUYER BEWARE - You as a buyer, and only you, are responsible to do all your due diligence before you agree to purchase anything, and MAKE SURE you do not get defrauded. When you enter into a transaction to purchase an item, you as the buyer ASSUME ALL RISKS. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

2] SUGGESTIONS:

A] CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD. Recent scammers have been able to access the account of longstanding members of websites across the Internet by hacking other databases/websites for login credentials. If a member is using the same username/password on multiple websites the scammers are able to utilize those credentials to login to ANY website where they are valid. They can run an Internet search for a username, and they are then able to login using that common password. Then, they impersonate a long-time member and try to make quick sales, OFTEN RESPONDING TO WTB ADS, or posting BELOW-MARKET PRICES on desireable items ... and demanding instant digital payment.

So ...

MAKE YOUR PASSWORD DIFFICULT: Use CAPITAL and lower case letters, numbers, AND SYMBOLS.

HAVE A UNIQUE, HIGHLY SECURE PASSWORD FOR EVERY WEBSITE! This is key.

B] VENMO, ZELLE, PAYPAL (especially F&F (friends and family)), and other instant payment methods offer NO or VERY LITTLE RECOURSE for buyers. Postal Money Orders are overrated and not much better. THINK TWICE before doing business with a seller who insists on one of these types of payments. Consider writing PERSONAL CHECKS or funding through a CREDIT CARD that offers you recourse as a buyer.
