Most of us are guilty justifying or giving self approval to ourselves of a present around Xmas. My gift to myself this year is a 1970 ish Sako 270 std model. I had a deluxe 30 years ago but had to part with it for financial reasons. The only time in my life. I seen this 270 at a gun show and it had a 24 inch barrel and hardly used. I still have my dies, brass. Let’s hear about your gift to yourself !!!! Alan

Got mine early this year. 2 kidney stones left this afternoon and will not be missed. Anything else will be gravy.

I sent a Rem 700 Titanium Gen1 in .270 I've had since they came out to Kampfeld for a better barrel at 24" fluted and cerakoted olive drab. I'll do the stock work bedding it in a Manners Ultra Classic i bought a couple years ago.

Those Sako rifles are hard to beat! Yep, kind of like a sore pecker. You just can't beat it.
I am always looking for factory wood stocks!

New seat covers for my 2000 F350, which still runs great, but has had to too many butts slide inside.....

One of these, sitting in customs as we speak.
These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

I bought myself a small auto knife: https://www.bladehq.com/item--Bear-and-Son-Automatic-Lockback--118796I can't be more pleased with the construction and finish (Made in USA). I picked this one over Kershaw's and a few other 'name' makers. It's a gorgeous little knife to hold (excuse the pocket lint):

I can't have the auto knife here but the Aberfeldy is a good choice.

I don't buy Christmas gifts for myself . . . unless you would consider 12, 16, 20 and .410 ga primed hulls, wads for the hulls, powder to put in them and shot and a couple of loading presses as "Christmas gifts" to myself. For most stuff I buy throughout the year, I buy them when I want (not need) them. And, yes, I do inform my bride. She typically does the same.

Mossberg 695 out of the Classifieds. I been thinking about getting something else too but I can't think of anything I can't live without.

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

A gently used Savage model 14. Not as nice as the first one I found but a fine gift nonetheless.

Cyber Monday: I found a Metabo 10" compound miter saw for $95. I have been running the hell out of it since arrival. Amazon.
Yes, the Garmin Chrono, as well. That does not count. That was an absolute necessity.
