Went a little crazy this year on buying for me & just now realized it was all centered around or close to my 70th in Sept.
A middle shelf AR, an AR10 & a Benelli M2. Thinking I should slide through Christmas & be happy. But sure have my eye on a 7mm PRC.
It never stops for a loony I guess.

Most of us are guilty justifying or giving self approval to ourselves of a present around Xmas. My gift to myself this year is a 1970 ish Sako 270 std model. I had a deluxe 30 years ago but had to part with it for financial reasons. The only time in my life. I seen this 270 at a gun show and it had a 24 inch barrel and hardly used. I still have my dies, brass. Let’s hear about your gift to yourself !!!! Alan Yep Sako’s are hard to beat, bought a 50th anniversary model for my 70th birthday last year. I bought a Kimber BGR in 270 to go with a 280 BGR I bought last year for my Christmas present this year.

A Miroku 24 inch Winchester Model 92 in 44-40, 95% in my book. Been looking for one to match up with my Original Vaquero for the last year. Just an accident because I was shopping for a .410 o/u.

5 bricks of Ginex 5.56 small rifle primers from American Reloading, back during the black friday sale. 70 bucks per brick, delivered, was too good to pass up.

A week or so after veteran’s day I bought a Ruger 1911 in .45 and a Tisas 1911 in 9 mm. Couldn’t decide which caliber in the Springfield 1911 prodigy so went with the two previously mentioned and bought some ammo with the remaining money. I think I’ll call that Christmas gift to myself also.

Son hasn’t been home in several years due to my severe illnesses caused by Covid, a 14 month stay in hospitals and nursing home and his work as a special projects team for a large insurance company. Anyway, supposed to come for 4 days after Christmas. He’s bringing me an AR he’s partially put together along with some accessories as a case and multiple
magazines. We intend to do the final assembly and fire it. I imagine I will treat myself to some ammo to feed it for Christmas.

Nothing for me this year.
I just spent a bundle on getting our well pumps 100% renewed, with solar panels and a DC solar pump backing up a wind pump along with all the sucker rods and 100% new pipe so it wiped out ALL the money and we have been living hand-to-mouth for about 6 weeks now. (But we have a RELIABLE water source now, so it's worth it to me)
But Christmas is going to be a good dinner and nothing more this year.
