Looking forward to thumping a whitetail or a hog with it!

I have a couple of cans, just never tried it in the 7-08. Have heard good things about it.

DF

It didn't do horrible with my 22" Featherweight and 130 Speer BTSP's and Bitterroots DF. Kinda made a little 270 out of the 7-08 grin

Worked up to 51.5 with 120 NBT with Stabil6.5. Bolt was hard to open and primer was cratered. Charge was double weighed on every load.
Hornady brass 2.805 OAL
WLR primer

Sounds like you got a hot lot! What was the speed on it?

I am in Lapua brass right, not sure of the difference.

Didnt chrono it. Was looking for accuracy'

Loaded some 6.5 CM out of same jug with no problems. I was 1 grain off max on the 6.5

Pulled them down and verified charge weight, OAL and bullet weight

I read where Shaman had problems with pressure too with same powder

I've been using Hunters, 250's, Lapua brass and the 162 ELD M's in my Montana. They shoot well. Right at 2700 from my rifle.

For deer? Pick one and rock on.

120gr TTSX or 120gr NBT
140gr NBT

Hell, anything. Pick one it likes.

Haven't shot a deer with it yet, but Hornady's 139 gr BTSP Interlock over 48.5 grains of StaBall 6.5, Fed LG rifle primer in Winchester brass has proven very accurate. Fired from my Remington model Seven made in 84 or 85.

I haven't shot a deer with it yet but I went with the 120 TTSX in my 7mm-08. After playing around with different loads, seating depths and primers the most accurate in my rifle was 50.0 grains of Big Game with LRP seated 2.750 COAL.

I’ve taken 2 Mulies ( one at 465, one at 290) and an elk calf (trotting at 80 yards) with this bullet. It’ll do the job. It’s plenty accurate with varget and RL16 in my rifle.

What velocity are you getting with SB 6.5?

Picked up some 150 ablr to try in mine I know alot of people hate on them but I think they fit this cartridge well for the lower velocity.

The ole school method says to pick one or two bullets you like, pick a powder you like, and load multiple variations to see what YOUR gun likes. Keep in mind each gun will vary so you have to experiment. I could say my rifle loves xyz bullet with ABC powder, etc.
Cant really take shortcuts. Got to put the time in if results is your quest.

120gr TTSX and never look back. Been rolling my own hunting ammo for 30ys +, several different calibers. Never seen anything drop whitetails so consistently.

It's hard to beat the 120 gr nosler bt or 120 gr ttsx in a 7mm-08.
