Interested in picking up another rifle. I don't need help on the rifle, just what it looks like. The Tikka website doesn't show the colors very well on their Lite Veil model and it almost looks like the barrel is cerakoted some sort of light olivedrap or even a lime greenish sherbet ice cream color. Doesn't look very attractive. Anyone have one of these rifles? Does the barrel look good or ghey? How effective is Tikka's muzzle break?
Thank you. Mountain10

I bought my 16 year old daughter the wideland veil a couple years ago for her birthday. It’s a 6.5 PRC, with the brake she’ll shoot it until I quit handing her ammo.
She chose the wideland over the alpine because of the color of the cerakote on the alpine. We both thought the barrel looked like a cream or off white.

Mossy, thank you for the reply. The barrel does look like that. It's so hard to discern in pictures. Wish they would have left it raw stainless, I like all the other upgraded features though.

I have a Veil in Wideland. 6.5PRC. Its a great rifle. Extremely accurate with my handloads. With the break, its a very mild shooting rifle. One of my favorites! I can't remember the color of the barreled action but its almost a dark burnt bronze. I'm terrible with colors though. Buts its a fine looking rifle.

I have tw o and they both shoot very well. 6.5 prc and 300wsm. Breaks work well and onevthing I noticed is the barrel taper is a touch heavier than a std tikka. Great rifles. I do swap out trigger springs but they are quite nice imo.

Just a slightly different camo, but stainless metal. Yep, and the people got them mixed up. The veil version is usually $1350. I asked and they said they were Jonny Morris’ guns and they weren’t going to correct it.

I handled one yesterday. Seems like a solid rifle but it costs too much for what you get.
