I am thinking of thinning the herd. Purchased this Leupold new in 2002 (sn H) and mounted in a Ruger 77/17. Thinking of switching things out as I really don't have much use for it any longer. I rarely use it except for the occasion backyard groundhog and it's never been hunted. What's a fair asking price for this scope is very good condition (9.5 of out 10 *s) with box? Or, is there any outright interest in purchasing from CF followers? Thanks and be well.

Davelefty: I may be interested in your scope - does it have a gloss or matte finish?
GLWYS and let me know when you decide on a cash price.
The scopes that have "target turrets" and came from the factory are kind of rare to see on the used market - and I do not know what the fair market value is.

Not sure if it would even bring that on ebay being an m8. Maybe someone will know more than me. It is an unusual configuration though.

Well I’ve been chasing 6x42 M8’s for a while and believe I have a feel for realistic market values. $250 is the average of eleven scopes I’ve watched. I’ve missed a couple at a click over $200 and watched a bunch that were close and a bit over $300 that went stale hanging around. Take it for what it’s worth but honestly $400 is a bit beyond and over the horizon of most folks. Understand this opinion is from a guy who thought Rem’s 600’s were a very bad idea and have subsequently owned four of them.

Good luck

Did any of these have parallax adjustable objectives and target turrets?

Scopes are not collector items - as they get newer, they get better

Now here is an observation that begs the question.
