I know it won't happen, but I'd sure like a 7.62x39 ranch rifle in LH. I actually could afford to shoot it

I'd like to see a LH compact 223 that uses the AR mags.

It sucks but we won't get squat. I'm tired of Ruger and Browning not making offerings available for lefties, I believe Tikka is our best option for availability.

Just bought a Sportsman Whse LH Tikka Super Light in 6.5CM. First "new" rifle in a long time and first 6.5CM. The Tikka 6.5CM's come with 1:8" twist and the extended (+2.9") magazine for loading the heavies. I may end up swapping the stock for a McM Hunter Edge. But otherwise, 100% plug and play.

I sent and email and Ruger actually replied, that the gen II american left hand models were in the works. Fingers crossed, but I'm not holding my breath.

LGS has a few of the Gen 2s. I like them! If I can find one in LH the boys will end up with it. Hope it's a 6.5 Creedmoor or 243. A 223 would be very welcome, but if we do see it I bet it's not a 8" twist or faster which would be a bummer.

I bought a right handed version recently because the gun store owner (who I know personally and trust) told me that his ruger rep told him that they will probably discontinue the left ruger americans because of a "lack of sales"
Most of the gunstores I do business with wont take a left handed gun in on trade because "itll sit here forever before it sells" and thats probably true. Unfortunately us lefties are 90% of the internet and only 10% of buyers.

Makes more sales for the companies that will accomodate.
Ruger had no problems in the previous years. Can't sell what you don't make

I'd be surprised if they don't offer a few lefties.
Original RAR was offered in several calibers in LH.
Most likely in middle of the road calibers but still.....
Bore size is no substitute for shot placement and Power is no substitute for bullet performance. 458WIN

I talked to the Ruger guys at DSC last week and specifically asked about LH Gen 2 Americans. He assured me they are on the books and we should see them around September. He said they need to get the RH models in the pipeline and then they can work on the LH models.

I'm going to pick up another Ruger Hawkeye lefty in 6.5 and maybe an American #2 if they're available. Ruger really needs to set up an pre order program specifically for lefties, that way everyone is getting what they want and it's all pre sold and they can even offer far better prices.
Hey Ruger are you listening?
