Never got a Pic. from my Late Brother in Law as the story was pre. cell phones but he told me that a Winchester Model 1885 High Wall was used as a fence post down in Texas near San Antonio where he was stationed in the Marine Corps some years ago.

Someone needed that fence fixed pretty bad to do that. Or maybe they caught a poacher, strung him up, and used his rifle to fix where he cut the fence.

1968 BDL in 7mm Remington Magnum. Just got it, taking it to my gunsmith (Kevin Weaver who is awesome) tomorrow to have the iron sights removed, my Leupold 3.5-10x50mm scope on, replacing the recoil pad with a Decelerator and adjusting the trigger to 2 3/4 lbs.
Regards,
Chuck

Nice one! I use to remove the sights on those. Now I kinda like leaving them on if the scope will clear. But then I’m not a big fan of 50mm objectives.

I left the sights on my CZ 550 in 500 Jeffery. The Leupold 1.5-5x scope is in Talley steel QR rings. There's times (few that they may be) when you want to use irons.

Kampfeld Custom 6mm Creedmoor 1-8” Hart #2 - Hog taken last evening. Nice rifle....I use the same rifle sling but I attach it different. Any reason you attach the adjustment at the bottom?
