Anyone make a drop in that I can finish myself? It doesn't have to be top grade walnut.

What a neat rig that would be! I'd bet you won't find such a thing, but if anyone did it would be Richards Microfit. But even then the idea of buying a stock that your action will just drop into is pretty far fetched, especially for something as esoteric as you propose. Your idea is perfectly attainable, but unless you want to hire it out you'll have to do the work yourself but all it takes is patience and time.

If Richards won't do it, you'll need to have a stock profiler turn a piece of wood for you. It will end up being "95%" inlet, which means the general shape of the stock is established and the barreled action is nearly drop in, but not quite. Then you get to do the final inletting and shaping.

Stock profilers work from patterns, either one they already have or one that's provided by the customer. In the case of a mannlicher, you'll most likely need to provide a pattern, which you can make from your existing stock.

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing. A Friend has a duplicator. I suppose that I could reach out to him, although I don't believe that he could find time.

You should go for it. A project like this is really enjoyable.

I saw a couple of rifles some time ago that were standard half stock rigs that had the forearm extended to make them into full stocks.

One of them incorporated a brass spacer at an angle between the original stock and the new addition to the forearm. Another had an ebony tip added and shaped somewhat like a Sav 99 EG. They were nicely done and professional looking.

Depending on what you have and what you hope to end up with regarding barrel length, you may need to shorten the barrel and reinstall the front sight.

Lots of options for a open mind.....
