WTH is with this crap now?
Started noticing the other day, wife was watching something and an ad came on. I heard it in the background or something. Humane Society??
Started seeing it on Shriners, St Jude, and 3-4 others.
Did some ad agency come up with that particular figure as being unoffensive to most folks? And all the "non-profits" are using the same agency?
Is there a special tax reason for them or the donor that $19/mo works best?
maybe it's like the 99cents tacked on to the price of everything..................................... meaningless?

Probably the "less than 20 dollars" as you mentioned. Line the x.99.

A man could give $19 a month to the NRA...
And the NRA would spend $19.01 asking for more.
Truth?
Yes or No...
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

The ASPCA adds are criminal but the worst adds are for balance-o-nature. They ought to hang his sorry butt from a bodark tree.

Little bits a money add up,small amounts that don't seem like much. A few years a go when I turned 65 I gotta letter from some financial organization. They had been appointed to distribute retirement funds to people who.had worked for this company but no longer did. That was me I'd made several years of contributions to the plan before I moved on. I 'd forgot about it cause they just took it out of your check. So they told me my benefit was $40 dollars a month or a lump sum of several thousand. I am in pretty good health so I elected for the 40 a month. Well I was telling a buddy about it and he busted out laughing saying 40 dollars? Jfc don't get excited and piss down the side of your leg , shaking his head and laughing at me. I looked at him and said well that's 2 cases of pbr or 2 12packs of import and a pint or 2 1.75 liter bottles a whiskey. He was still laughing and shaking his head when I said to him" now tell me again who is paying for your booze for the rest of your life" he shut up damn quick at that point yessir never hurts to get a little chunk a money.

Yes. My practice is to mentally pencil out any monthly deal to a year's worth of donations. Pretty quickly I can afford a new rifle.

ASPCA was $19/mo. Only about 2% of that goes to local shelters so you might as well give money to the local shelters that don't have an anti-hunting agenda.

I've been seeing commercials begging donations for Planned Parenthood. Never saw those before. I guess killing babies is expensive.
The shivering one-eyed dogs and cats in the ASPCA commercial were bad enough.

And the local shelter(s) don't have a 'leader' (pres, CEO or whatever) drawing a $1MM paycheck and euthanizing probably more animals than they find homes for . . .

Well, I too have wondered why$19 is the majic number. But if it is I found a bargain. For only $12 a month you can help save the Mongilian snow Leopard.
OTOH, for a one time cost of $15.99 you can get a video of little Babbu hauling water to his family in Africa. He does it on a bike with bent wheels, no brakes, & mostly down hill on the way backwith 10 gallons of water.
It's fuggin halarious.

maybe it's like the 99cents tacked on to the price of everything..................................... meaningless? I noticed the same, several “charities” want you to sign up for only $19 per month.
