What would be a decent asking price for a low round count Winchester Ultimate Shadow stainless 25-06? It's a BACO rifle made in South Carolina I'm pretty sure.

Blued rifles are selling from $600-800, sometimes cheaper. .25-06 isn't as popular it seems as other chamberings, so it usualy brings less money. I couldn't find a SS that sold recently that wasn't a new Extreme Weather. Without pictures or better description it's hard to give an accurate price, SS will help I would think.

There was a nice 7MM-08 stainless Ultimate Shadow with the box at Scheels that sold for $749 plus tax. I think these were made in Portugal. At least all of the ones I have / had were. I should have bought it.

I would guess $900 or so to start then the market will tell you if you’re selling. The stainless models sold for $100-150 more than the blued ones when initially sold. The bluing on the blued guns is a cheaper “bluing” that isn’t as durable as the bluing on older guns.

Here's a 7mm-08 on GB but being a dealer I figured it was way high. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1026672328

And, that is a classic, not a BACO. There is a difference. However, that price is way out of line. I personally would not pay over $800 on a rifle like that. The stocks are garbage, are known for getting sticky, so that will have to be dealt with down the road at some point. If the BACO's have the same duratouch stock, they will need the same treatment. The factory tupperware stocks are much better, at least they are not going to go gummy on you.

Dang, I’d love to have a twin for my 30-06. I bought an Ultimate Shadow SS and put a Bansner on it. My favorite do-it-all rifle.
