About another quarter will be bought by people suckered into trusting a name plate (Nissan, the big 3, etc) not understanding the technology. The interstates are full of people travelling. Anyone who owns an electric car owns a gasoline car for road trips. Very few people are going to be satisfied with having a $40,000 golf cart parked in the driveway.
