I'd like to know whether this organization is worth affiliating with. I don't know a thing about them. I HAVE heard much bad and some good about some pre-paid self defense legal services, but I've never really researched them.
Are these guys good to go? Are they a scam? Is there better? What's the best?

Cut and paste this phrase into the google search bar. Do not include the quotation marks. I was a member for years and eventually dropped for no reason other than I didn't have any money back then. I will tell you they have the best gun/CCW magazine ever printed. IMHO, I still subscribe to that.
