I put one on a rifle, perhaps 40 years ago. Maybe it was an Uncle Mike's? It's still there, is still functional, & hasn't moved yet. Not high-end stuff, but matches the barrel finish well & does what it's made to do. It's on a 6.5x55 so no heavy recoil, but have no complaints.

Thanks for this. Honestly, at this rate, I'm having trouble even finding one for sale that's meant to fit a bolt gun. (Lots of lever gun and shotgun setups.)
You might check with New England Gun Works, they usually carry several types of barrel swivel mounts for rifles.

I've used the two piece in the past. Acraglass. Also used this type which I liked better because you could drill a small indent on the barrel which further locked it into place. I've made one, again in the past, that was an open band with hole tapped in the bottom and a cutoff sling swivel stud screwed in.
