As many of you are aware, Strelok is no longer available due to the Russian developer Igor Borisov being sanctioned by the US State Department.

My i-phone was at death's door this week and had to be replaced. When my apps were transferred, the Strelok app failed on the new phone. I kept the old phone and can use Strelok on that but I know it is not a long term solution.

I have rifles with scopes that I dial and a few with bullet drop reticles and Strelok has always done a good job for both. I went looking for a solution and found Chairgun. Chairgun is clearly utilizing (polite term) the Strelok format. It is a bit more clunky, but works well. Chairgun was able to match the Strelok results for my rifles.

Thanks. I have been using Strelok for years but like you, I know there will be a point of no return.

We could think outside the box on this and change our government leadership and thus the State Dept, and get that crap reversed. What a novel idea that is. Igor is only banned because of the Ukraine chit show, and all Russians are boogyman.....that and anti gun elements in dot gov using backdoor gun control any way they can to throw wrenches.

Shooter is a good ballistics app that is probably better than Strelok, and I'll likely go to that when this phone takes a dump.

Either that or I'll invest in a Kestrel and leave the damn phone in the truck.

If the new phone is an iPhone, look at Ballistic:AE.

Concur. Ballistic AE is really good about letting you juggle parameters to see see how changing one parameter affects The trajectory.

I have used Shooter for years. I have Strelok but never liked it. I recently added AB elite and Geoballistics.
AB and Shooter give me the same solution out to 1000 yards with the 6 or 7 combinations I've tried. All within .1 MIL.
Shooter is no longer supported so AB is the better choice for soneone starting out.
Don't have enough time with Geoballistics to comment on it. I have it because it is what interfaces with my rangefinder

A buddy of mine lost his Strelok when he got a new iPhone last year. I lucked out - Strelok transferred over from my old phone just fine a month or two back (Samsung/android).
