The story, as far as I have seen, is that there was a ch1mpout after "teens" set off fireworks at the mall and the rest of the troop panicked, thinking it was gunfire. There is footage of one of the "teens" walking though the firework haze that some mistook for an alien.

The White anchor's delivery and emphasis of Leprechaun was masterful. This Miami Alien incident has none of the subtle humor. You can tell by the nervous laugh that his co-anchor wanted to say "Leprechauns is real doe!"
I couldn't watch that video, as those two are full of pilpul, but it's all over social media, so ask your children/grandchildren about it.
Supposedly 200+ cops, shut down MIA for hours, turned off the grid surrounding the mall, and they only made 4 juvenile arrests...that doesn't make much sense.

How about this? Abortive/unsuccessful terrorist incident or maybe the police believed it as such and responded accordingly. Thus blacked out helicopters and more cops than I would have believed could possibly be on duty at any one time in Miami responding. Thus videos from inside confiscated, witnesses intimidated, and ridiculous alien story released to cover up abortive terrorist incident and/or police response to hide the truth from a fearful public and/or practice opsec and keep real terrorist from gaining useful information.
If you watch that video, I’m pretty sure than in some other part of Miami at that time, terrorists or criminals could have done anything they liked because every cop in Miami was at that mall.
