Question for those that are knowledgeable of Remington Model 7s.

Did Remington only make the 270 WSM with camo stock and stainless/fluted 22" barrel in the XCR configuration (2007-8)?

I've emailed the new Remington and they are un-responsive. Perhaps because it was before their time.

Please share what you know.

Yes, the XCR was a one year production I believe. It came with a camo polymer stock and the metal was coated in something that Remington called trinyte. If memory serves me it was available in .243, 7mm-08, .308, 270 WSM, and 300 WSM and maybe 1 or 2 others.

I think standard caliber models has 20" barrels and magnums were 22".

I have one in 300 WSM.

Thanks for the response snowboardguy.

I have what you describe, but other XCRs of that generation that I have seen had a yellow/orange tint to the finish.

This one, not so much.

I wasn't sure if Remington offered that configuration in the standard, non-XCR flavor.

No help with your question but I think Remington hit the sweet spot with a 20-22" barrel on the Model Seven.

The only other model seven variety that I'm aware of ever coming with a fluted barrel was the predator model but those were all camo and didn't come in 270 WSM.

As you mentioned, the XCR trinyte coating does have a goldfish tint to it, almost a champagne color.

Do you have pics of the gun in question?
