What kinds of containers? Not interested in boxes with spots for individual rounds to go neatly into. I mean bulk type containers. What sorts? Where are you getting them? Thanks.

After a 20+ year hiatus from reloading, I dragged out all my equipment again, along with tons of old once-fire brass that I've saved up over the years, and got busy a few weeks ago.

This is one container I've used (plastic), but it would be nice to see what others are using. This one is a bit small, for one thing. That's just 58 rounds of .44 Magnum.

Magazines for 223. Gallon zip lock bags that are placed into lid-type storage containers for handgun. I do have two, plastic, lidded, one gallon-size bar snack containers - one with 40sw and the other with 9mm.

Those bags look good. One side for loaded ammo, and the other for depositing the spent cases in.

I've got a stack of those, but use them for pistol magazine storage. Might need to buy some more for hand-loaded ammo.

Depending on how many rounds I need to store and wht kinds of cartridges, I use the powder bottles to store ammo in. They don't work for the big stuff but 38 Special and .223 store nicely in the bottles. kwg

Good Lord, I've stored ammo in all kinds of containers. If you saw my ammo storage area you would see .30 and .50 ammo cans, wooden chests, plastic compartmentalized boxes, clear snack canisters, bandoliers stuffed with M1 and '03 clipped ammo, and stray gallon-size ziplock baggies. Back when I shot a helluva lot of trap/skeet/clays I was known to dump loaded shotshells straight from the machine into plastic buckets.

Empty round cardboard oatmeal cans is an all time favorite, and for cast bullet storage I cut them down to varying heights to stack layers of bullets with cardboard dividers between layers. Their lid designs make them nicely stackable too. Empty round brie cheese containers make for good pistol bullet boxes.

Sitting here chuckling because I just finished loading 50 rounds of .32-20, a non-standard load for testing, and discovered that all my .32-20/.38 Special size plastic boxes are "occupied". They went into a ziplock sandwich baggie instead.

Whatever I have on hand, ammo cans big and small, animal cracker containers, the boxes handgun bullets are shipped in work ok for cardboard.

Dumpster dive at the public range for individual boxes? I keep some of those around for test batches.

Shrapnel has more money in Border Shift bags than I have in some guns laugh

I try to shoot them almost as fast as I load them.....

I'm like most everybody else
Oodles of factory compartmentalized plastic boxes,
Zip lock freezer bags, USGI sheen gun ammo cans,
old metal ice chests, newer plastic ones, rubbermaid
plastic "Tupperware " containers, old medicine
bottles for loose 22LR, ammo wallets, old tackle
boxes, use to have some old timey canvas bank bags,
etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

I haven't hollowed out any logs ( yet)

You mean those stickers the prominently display “Speer” at the top?
Have you ever actually reloaded anything before?

TRH, I 'm using these, usually with either heavy duty ziplocks or MTM boxes inside. Academy sells a similar box for about the same price, but these have a rubber gasket seal.
