Interesting video. The host is a little hard to take though.

I watched the video hoping to eyeball the scope I sent in for repair that they just kept....no replacement, no resolution offered, no response to communication.

It's probably holding the door to the lunch room open.

Details? I've had nothing but good luck with Burris customer service...

They never mention where the glass is made. I'd be interested to know that.

So Al Burris straight up “stole” your scope?

I think majority of Burris scopes are now made in the Philippines. I used to own a Black Diamond that was a great scope, just upgraded to better glass in a Leupold LPS. The glass is made by Leica and is outstanding for late evening and early morn hunts. It is a Rock Solid scope.

Sorry Al, didn't mean to dredge up any bad memories.

Fotis, I always understood that the Fullfield II and Droptine scopes are made in the Philippines and the Fullfield IV's are made in China. I am pretty sure this is accurate.

I checked around just now and even publications conflict each other.

A Barrett Rifles website article from as Jan 5th, 2024 (yes this year) says Burris scopes are made in the USA, Japan, and the Philippines. That's it.

I think they missed the ones being made in China unless something has very recently changed.

The only model line they directly specify country of origin is the XTR III, saying these are made in the USA. They leave us to guess the rest.

To me, that would leave the Burris Signature line to be Japanese - by process of elimination.

i have some Burris scopes all seem to work just fine. i have a Burris 1-6x24 illuminate that is mounted on a 22 K-Hornet that hangs in the garage all year long rather its 90 degrees or 20 something below. cat has knock the rifle down twice both times has landed on the top of the scope with a dent now ,even broke the stock bad that had to be fixed by a gunsmith ,but that scope still holds zero , circle reticle lights up and works fine and still kills plenty critters around the yard all year long. tuffis scope i have ever seen i now have 5 of these scopes mounted on rifles.

As far as I know there's no glass being produced here. Probably thanks to government regulations and fees it's another thing imported.
