So we don't need a near 2# scope?

The relatively short ER on this 8 twist .22-250 isn't a problem.

BTW, this Mohawk has a 22' Shilen barrel, aluminum bottom metal and a Timney trigger. It's glassed and free floated, shoots sub-MOA with loads it likes, which are most of them.

Sweet rifle!
Thanks,

That 8 twist is the cat's meow with heavies.

I had picked up some Midway seconds, labeled as 80 gr. but actually are 75 gr. Hornady TAP/SBR surplus bullets. These are not catalog items. I got a couple of extra boxes from a Fire contributor, so probably have enough.

Have not killed any critters with those, but at .22-250 speeds, they should expand really well, (maybe too well?)....??

Anyway, they are accurate. I also have a bunch of 75 gr. ELDM seconds (I think that's what they are). They group well, too.

That would make me never own one. That eye relief is terrible

Yeah, ER sorta short.

But it is a great scope on the right rifle.

Just noticed the eye relief states

2x-60-79mm
10x-60-81mm

Don’t know if it was over looked or if they updated it. So looks like a little over 3” on both top and bottom magnification. (Still not a lot)

The lower number (60mm) looks like minimum eye relief which looks like more of a measurement of range of eyeBOX…
