they will shoot 1 and half miles I tried that once, I was shooting over a small lake with a ruger 10-22 and was shooting over the water at all different angles, to see how much distance I could get and debunk that mile or what ever distance they claimed a 22 could shoot. Well the lake is a little over a mile across and I tried at least 10 different angles adding shims underneath my shooting rest, the furthest distance was shot at a little more than 45 degrees from the water level went about 1/3 of the way across, with most going about 1/4 of the way across the lake. The lake was still so it was easy to see where they landed.
RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

Tjis guy name scumload use to shoot a lot of brands to against a high wall back drop rock corrry and see the kasplash. At chest level shooting it would hit the water at about 200 yards.
