I have a Cooper 25-06 Jackson Game 24” barrel, any suggestions on factory ammo?
I’m leaning towards Federal Fusion 120 or Barnes
VorTx 100 TTSX.
Maybe Copper Creek w/ Barnes 100 TTSX.
I’m hoping to find something that shoots 1/2 MOA.
This is just for smallish Texas Whitetails.
Thanks!

Coopers are fine firearms. No one can offer any one brand over another as each rifle is an individual meaning your rifle might like the Hornady Whitetail brand and mine would prefer Remington. I would buy several different brands and see what your rifle prefers.

My Marlin XL7 and Remington 700 parts gun both like the Hornady American Whitetail 117 grain factory load.

The Marlin shoots better groups with the 90 grain PPU HP load, sub-MOA, and some whitetails have been tagged with this load, but not by me, so I couldn't recommend it for that purpose without first using it. I have shot a couple of unlucky coyotes with this load and can emphatically say that it is the polar opposite of pelt friendly.

I haven’t seen any results from 25-06, but the 125 grain, 6.5 Creed version of this deer season XP has been impressive on Arkansas whitetails.

Between my wife and myself, we’ve killed over 60 Pronghorns with 115 gr. Win. Ballistic Silvertips, with her using her 25-06 100% of the time, and me using my 25-06 75% of the time. My other Pronghorn rifle is my 280 Rem., using 140 gr. Win. Ballistic Silvertips.

I’ve had good luck with accuracy and performance on deer with 115 grain Winchester Ballistic Silvertips in my Remington 25-06. It’s all I’ve used for 20 years in that rifle. Fusion and American Whitetail have been great in other chamberings so I don’t think you could go wrong there either.
