2012 Fusion, aftermarket 3 lock remote start system.
A couple years ago it suddenly quit working and didn't work all winter.
There was something I did, fixed something, reset something....not to fix the
remote start, but to address something that needed attention.
A few day later, I though "Wonder if that could have affected my remote start?"
tested it and it workerd.
By now you guessed it.
^"##%&((@@^^!!! It quit, won't work, and I forget what got it working before.
My wife thought it was when I changed the battery in the remote.
It was locking/unlocking fine, I changed the battery anyway.
Didn't fix it.
Ideas?
PS
It was on the car when we bought it, no idea where it was purchased from.
The guy I've had do them for my wife won't touch one he didn't install, except to
remove it to install his.

Disconnect the car battery for 15 minutes then reconnect. Maybe resetting the ECU can help. I did replace the battery, my friend who sold the battery did something to introduce the car to the battery. 🤬🤬🤬 FORD!

E brake is supposed to be set on the brides Toyota. Sometimes I hold the start button too long and it won't start, have to hit lock button on Toyota fob then hit start button on aftermarket fob again.
Aftermarket unit.
The GMC you have to hit lock button until the horn honks. Factory unit.
If you know the brand YouTube it and/or find a local shop that installs aftermarket remote start systems.
Owners manual for remote start??

Have you taken it to FORD I doubt they will be much help on a 12 year old aftermarket setup.

Watch South Main Auto on YouTube. He works on no-starts and it's usually the aftermarket remote starts. He hates them, he just pulls them out.
