Two plump young women hooked me up with electrodes.

Then they said they could not get contact through my chest hairs.

So they ripped off the electrodes, pulling out my chest hair, causing me to yell at them.

THEN they brought in an electric razor and shaved my chest.

I hear you. I always seem to end up with small bald patched afyer an EKG. Had a CT scan on my heart last wek and they told be damage is severe this morning. They're gonna replace the valve sometime down the road but now they want to do a some kind of scan on my vein leading to the heart. They say I'm too old to do open heart surger., I just wish they'd get what the hell they have to do done and leave me be.

It's been quite a while since I last had an ekg and they had no issues with the patches sticking. Luckily I have very little chest hair. I do have good coverage on top, though, so it balances out.

My last was when in Kazakhstan. As a hairy "Italian" they shaved the spots. All was good.

They always apologize when they begin to pull off the leads….it doesn’t keep the “riiiiip” from stinging 😊

I ALWAYS shave my chest before an appointment with my cardiologist, learned my lesson years ago. Google "12 lead EKG placement" to see the areas that require additional attention. I tell the nurse who's going to remove the pads to rip them off as fast as they can. 😛
