'52 Chevy Powerglide Deluxe. With fender skirts and visor. It had ALL the options - radio AND heater! After a short time with a '65 Corvair (90 hp), I got a '68 Ford Ranger - it's been pickups every since.

I inherited my Grandfather's '67 Buick Electra 225. I drove it for the summer after I graduated high school and the gave it to my dad to sell when I went off to college. I didn't want to be everybody's taxi, and that was pretty much what I'd become in the short time I'd had the vehicle.

A 65 Impala sport sedan, 283, 2 speed auto. I bought it for $1 from a local insurance agent and boy scout leader who wanted to help out someone who didn't have a car or the funds to buy one. I did some body work and my uncle sprayed it for me. Frame was sketchy, but it got me most of the way through college.i have it's cousin in the garage today - a 65 4-door hardtop.

Dad had a bit of a collection of spare vehicles for me and my brother to drive.
Primary for me - 88 Chevy P/U - 2wd, 4.3 v6, Stick with bench seat. Only options I think it had were 2 tone paint, cab market lights and FM radio Back ups - 89 Wrangler (all the tops, hard/soft/bimini and doors to match each), 85 Buick Grand Parisienne
First one I paid for with my own savings/money - 1984 Ford F150. 4x4 300i6, 4 speed that had that uber granny 1st. Vinyl everything, AM radio. Was the CHEAPEST F150 one could get in 84 that still had 4x4. 80k miles on it, paid 3k for it. Got 4.5-6 mpg.

Wow - stirs some memories. 1939 Pontiac 4door sedan, straight 8 with 3 speed shifter on the floor. 17 inch wheels were helpful on Vermont's back roads hadn't been plowed yet.Could of held a dance between the front and back seats. Bought it 1959 for $80 with 90,000mi, sold it 1961 2000mi for $125. Probably only car I ever made money on.

'69 Chevelle SS 396 and 4 on the floor. $700.00
I trashed the engine and burnt the rear tires off of it. Had to put a junk yard engine in it and some used rear tires on it. It started costing my old man money, so he made me sell it. Bought a '70 Camaro RS with a 307 and an automatic for $700.00. I took better care of it until I wrecked it. Boys will be boys.

In my Senior Year three of us chipped in $25.00 each and ought a 37 Chevy pickup. We had a ball in until we graduated in 64.
My first car of my own was a 1958 Bel Air with a 348 cu in. that was fast when it finally got up to speed. ! Paid $150.00 for it. Folks sold it when I entered the AF in 1967.

73 Galaxie 500 351w put 225000 miles on it rebuilt it and had almost 400k on it when hurricane Floyd floated it down the river , it was my hunting, fishing and everything else ride. Got my 1st speeding ticket in ,got laid the 1st time in it ,those big bench seats had plenty of room for doing the wild thing. Could pile it up with all I needed for most anything and put the canoe on the rack on top
