What manufacturers rail and rings would you use to mount a new 30MM tube, 42 MM objective on a short action 700

This is for an ultralight 6.5 SAUM with a #2 contour Rock Creek.

I'm trying to keep it as light as possible but still tough

Thanks

Harrels Precision in VA make a 0 MOA or a 20 MOA aluminum rail.

Ken Farrel makes nice, very light low aluminum rings.

How about Talley Lightweights? Seem to check all your boxes.

Whatever rail. Being properly bedded is more important than the brand, imo. I think I put a Talley rail on the last 700 I messed with but that was just because I had one laying around. Used Seekins, Nightforce, Murphy’s, Area 419, Leupolds and plenty others too, all without issue. 1913 is 1913, I just wouldn’t go with a cheap Amazon knock off. Ken Farrell aluminum low rings if you want the lowest and lightest. Of course plenty of good rings out there too. ARC’s being the most user friendly.

It don't take much,to trump LW's. Hint.

On a ShamWow,I'd want to keep the Exhaust Port open and the Reupold BC's do a nice job. Especially as compared to LW's. Hint.

Burris Extremes mount lower than a rail and I've multiple dozens in service. Hint.

Take a look at the Warne Vapor horizontal rings, too. I've put several sets on and like 'em. -Al

In my opinion, base and rings are not the place to cut weight. If I want the scope to hold zero and track, I prefer a Badger Ordinance 1 piece rail with a recoil lug built in. Then use NF Ultralite rings.

Thank me later wink
