This one is not perfect, but it is still a nice scope. It does have some scratches on it, and slight ring marks. The glass is good, with no scratches, and the scope is still very serviceable. I got this on a rifle that I purchased over the summer, so I can let it go for way under what it would sell for on ebay. This one has a duplex reticle. For those interested, here are some pics:

$225.00 shipped with priority and insurance

I tried to show all the defects in the pics. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I accept Paypal for payment. No more USPS money orders either. The local post office is too small, they had a hard time cashing a recent $275.00 money order!

These are nice scopes. Buy them when I can for this money. Don't do electronic stuff so someone will get a good deal here. Good guy too.

Our Post Office is small also. When the PO doesn't have enough money, I just go to the bank.

I've always used my bank.

Nice scope BTW.

Too close for irons, switching to scope...

Looking at the photos, it looks like a 36mm objective. Is that correct? Or is this a 42mm?

Duplex reticle? (I see your original post indicates this)

Friction adjustments?

Hey War Eagle. This one measures 42mm (outside diameter) with a caliper, so assuming it's a 42mm objective?? Unless that measurement should be at the O.D of the lens, then it is around 37mm. You might be right about it being a 36mm objective. Let me know for sure. Thanks!!. It has a standard duplex, and yes on the friction adjustments. Nice clear glass on this one.

It was on this rifle, when I bought it last year. The scope for sale is shown in this pic:

Took the one piece mount off, and replaced mount/rings and put a similar Vari-X IIc 3-9x40 on it.

Beautiful rifle.

Thanks! It's a good one. Shoots great. Rifle not for sale though. Just showing the scope for sale on a classic rifle. The rifle looks almost the same now, but with a 3-9x40 and Leupold dual dovetail mounts and rings. I really like how these gloss Leupolds look on classic rifles.

That stock is cool though. Looks like it's on fire in certain sunlight:

Ironically enough, I found a stock today in my junk for a Pre-64 model 70 that is ALMOST a twin to yours. That is a beautiful chunk of furniture!

That's cool buddy. I contemplated changing the old ventilated recoil pad on it, but decided to leave it as is. Maybe one of these days...

BSA, your scope is M8 6x36. A 6x42 would have an outside objective bell measurement of 48mm.
