Curious if parallax is a big issue for hunting distances.

Skip the made in China FF4 and go with the AO Droptine. I have 2 on rimfires and they are great. The AO only adjusts down to 50, but the amount of Parallax error between 0-50 is negligible for hunting situations.

There's many other Burris rifle scopes that would work fantastic on the OP's rifle, without choosing one made in China. Another great option is a Weaver cv or V16 4-16X42. The parallax adjusts down to 30 feet and tracking is spot on. Great glass and scope for the money. Was comparing one to a better Burris than the OP is asking about the other day and the Weaver was actually the one I preferred by a small margin.

Paul I assumed the FF was mfg in the Philippines. Thanks for feedback.

BSA those Weavers seem to be fairly popular. It seemed perhaps they were made in Japan like the newer K-4 and 6x ?

Thanks guys.

Yep, they were made in Japan. I was researching them the other day and some sources say they were made by LOW. Those guys have a very good reputation for putting out good glass.

Ah thanks. The one on the right is a new rifle I just bought. A stainless receiver 10/22 clone with At One competition thumbhole stock. That is the one wearing the Weaver CV/V 16 4-16X42. To show you how well it tracks:

One scope adjustment and left it there^^^

Testing 3 different ammos, and they all shoot into roughly the same spot. Previously I had that scope on my 17HMR:

That rifle and scope combo is a tack drivig sob as well. The guys over on rimfire central seem to like that classic V series scope on their rimfires.

Typical 50 yards, since my clubs rimfire matches are all held at that distance. There was an older Weaver classic V16, like the one I use, on ebay the other day. It sold for a measly $167.00. Someone got a great deal on that one. Back in the day, they retailed for $548.45 MSRP.. Midway had them for around $350, a while back, when they were being discontinued.

This guy wrote a nice article on that Weaver v16 scope:

Weaver V16 for squirrel hunting

Now, I don't buy chinese Burris scopes, but I like Burris scopes. If you are truly interested in the FFIV, check this video out. He really slaps this "biotch" around.

I busted up when he called it a "sexy bi tch"...

In the Q&A section of the Burris website Burris states that the Fullfield IV is made in China.
