Why is that when you click on a thread, it either goes to the last page or somewhere in the middle?
It's becoming annoying. (Lies. It's always been annoying)
Is there a way to fix it so it goes to the first post?

It's a feature, not a bug. It's a little squirrelly at times but I believe it's trying take you to the first unread post. The problem comes from the time it's using to determine where to go. I don't think it's using a separate time for each thread but possibly one time from when you were last active on the fire. Just guessing. Yes, it's wonky at times but to me it's more feature than bug.
