Does anybody shoot the deuce mag anymore ? Years ago I had two rifles in 222 mag and was getting better performance and accuracy than the only 223 in my inventory. I realize the 223 put the last nail in this cartridge’s coffin but I know there are still lots of rifles chambered for this nice cartridge. I ask because I ran into a nice stash of ammo that’s coming my way.

I have 5. They are better than the 223 by a small margin. They will get a bit higher velocity and tend to be more accurate than the 223…

I've got several boxes of ammo and no gun, you folks with multiple guns need to send one to me to try out and see what all the hoopla is about. lol

I kind of own one. I had two years ago. I sold one and my son borrowed the other. Long term borrow I guess but that’s ok that’s where it was headed in the end. It’s very accurate and he is deadly with it.

Woodpecker: Are you "trolling" for a Rifle in caliber 222 Remington Magnum? If so I will keep an eye out for one for you (if'n I don't buy it myself!). My last two Varmint Rifles in caliber 222 Remington Magnum are not for sale - the "Mag-Deuce" is an exceptional Varminting and accuracy cartridge in my experience. One of "Big Greens" best inventions - whether their "bean counters" ever realized/understood it or not! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I sold mine and quite happy with my 222’s. However I could very well have some ammo if anybody is interested. I may come into quite a bit but right now it’s still open so just checking here to see if I may find some takers Rick

I shoot the 6X47 based off the .222 Mag. I've never messed with the .222 Mag.

Selling or looking for rifle suggestions? I have a custom Ruger No. 1 that shoots sub moa, a factory Sako is another button hole shooter. The 700 rem i have is not as accurate as the two previous mentioned but is still a great coyote killer out to 250 yards

If I get my hands on this ammo I’ll let you guys know. So the 222 mag is still breathing. It is a great cartridge.
