As a kid I was working with my father on a drill rig when he got the handle of a 14" pipe wrench shoved all the way through his palm. To keep me from freaking out, he stuck a finger through the hole and wiggled it at me. Wouldn't leave till the job was done, then to the doctor. Some stiches and a cast later, he was as good as new. Nearing hunting season and the cast still on, he soaked it off in the sink and went hunting.
