Nice Hawkeye! I’d like to find a 3” barreled one that’s as clean as yours. I’ll offer $450. 😜

I like my 3" 36. Seems like the right size for me.

Nice! Love the nice round holes those wadcutters leave in a target.
I do like a good revolver. Closest thing I have to that is a 2.5" Model 19 that I've shot quite a bit and carried more.

Guy Those are nice, too. I've got one of those in similar shape to the snubby Model 10. It's a sickness.

Got a Mod 15 x 2" that I've had for a looooong time. Near new condition, shoots straight. I don't hot rod it, but do load it with HB wad cutters backwards. It will decapitate a 4' barracuda.
I am..........disturbed.

I regret not buying a 2" pre-82 Model 15 that was brought to my attention by the clerk at my local gun shop about ten years ago. He knew my taste in guns, and called me as soon as it came into the store. I went down there and handled it. Looked brand new, and had that high polish blue that is characteristic of the pre-82 Smiths. Had real Sambar stag grips on it, too, perfectly fitted. The price was reasonable, but I was a little strapped at the time, and had to pass on it. It was gone within a few days of being put in the display case.

I've had 3 Mod 10's - after #1 son "borrowed" one, I'm down to 2. All 3 are 4" square butts, with the tapered barrel. Two Mod 37's, 3", - one square butt & one round butt, that covers a LOT of territory with me. Also one extremely nice Mod 12, 2" round butt. All fun to shoot!

I did my CCDW test with a 2" M&P, and carried it quite a while. It shoots very nicely. I finally decided though, that if I could carry a 2" M&P, I could just as easily carry a 4" M&P, so I switched. I later found a stainless Combat Masterpiece to carry (at a higher price than I should have paid, but I wanted it, and I wasn't searching any more for one), since I rust up guns REALLY quickly, and needed something stainless. Finally decided that these revolvers were increasingly valuable and difficult to replace (if you do need to use one defensively, expect to lose it forever), so now it's a 1911, which is much more readily replaced.
I've always had a hard time passing up any .38 M&P, but the last 2 or 3 years, they seem to have nearly disappeared from the market, and when you do see them, they want much more for them than I would have paid just a few years earlier.

Back 20 years ago, you saw really nice old S&W revolvers on display at gun stores, all for very reasonable prices. But, yes, the nice ones seem to have dried up. You can only find K-Frames that are dogs, and for more money than they used to charge for the really nice ones.
