Here’s another story from the Wyoming State Daily, that some of you may enjoy. Back in 1988, when Yellowstone was on fire, myself and a friend of mine did a backpack elk hunt in the Gros Ventre Mountains. We packed up the Crystal Creek Drainage, which dumps into the Gros Ventre River. At about 8 to 10 miles in, we passed Gap Pucci’s outfitter camp! We continued on for about another 2 miles.
