SCGunNut: Thanks for the heads up - I wonder what price range these self defense rounds are/will be?

950 fps? If it expands well at that velocity it might be a decent small game round.

I guess if I ever felt compelled to drop my Beretta 21 in a pocket instead of carrying my 365 IWB... I guess

I'll test some in my PT22. I like options.

Seems to be OOS everywhere I looked. Maybe I’ll find some next time I’m buying boolits….

Saw a gel test online. Seems to work as advertised. Whether that matters is another question. Stingers expanded well for me from a handgun when I tested them about 40 years ago.

Some of y'all are some miserable sonsabitches.

I guess everyone should just stick to shooting cci mini-mags out of there 10/22 and make bullshit claims about benchrest accuracy that would put a 54 anschutz to shame.

God forbid something new come out.

Was thinking if they get the claimed velocity 950 FPS, in 2-1/2" bbl might be a wicked explosive round for small vermin from your 22? Maybe they'll be more consistent than just lead bullets. If we ever see some up here 🇨🇦 I'll definitely give them a shot. GWPGUY. 🐾👣🇨🇦

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Shooters wanted a new option for protection. CCI delivered with Uppercut—a 22 LR built for short-barreled, self-defense handguns.

950 FPS

Wise decision for a fool, pay 26 cents a pop so you can use a 22LR instead of a 38 special, or the even much maligned 380 for self defense. I will stick to 9mm or 45 acp for that purpose.

There are times when a tiny gun is all than can be carried, and tiny .38s and .380s are more difficult to shoot. It’s a niche market, but a market nonetheless.

I have one on my belt right now. Later it will go in my comfy-pants pocket when it’s tv time. When I’m away from home, I pack something else.

I have no interest in purchasing it but variety is good. Even if it missed its mark.
Bet it would work great on small game.

I’m excited for it. Will be interesting to see what it does out of rifles, may make my .22 mag obsolete.

I assume these would copper foul like a centerfire bullet ? since the are actually jacketed like a centerfire bullet instead of copper washed like a standard 22 rimfire bullet.

Wonder if this will be a decent coyote round from a 20" or so rifle?

200 fps slower than CCi Stinger in the Taurus TX1. Shallow penetration, no expansion.

Defined don’t look great out of a handgun. I’m thinking more along the lines if they will be cleaner out of a suppressed rifle…

Velocitiers fill that heavy .22 LR role now for me…

Marketing hype. Surprised they didn’t call it a .22 rimfire creedmoor

I just bought today 100 rounds of CCI Mini Mags 40 gr Segmented 1235 fps for my rifle to try. Been seeing good reviews for them on small game and up to coyotes. I have always used Velocitiers for my go to for such, but wanted to give these segmented a try. Can’t find Velocitiers any more….they must be discontinued.

They’re available on the CCI website…I bought a few boxes along my order a week ago. Free shipping over $99 and paid no sales tax.
