Curious what bullet you want to hunt with that an 10 twist won't stabilize?
Mike Pretty much all the good ones That’s what you was thinking myself. An 8 twist is awesome, don't get me wrong. I had one in my hands last summer, and should have bought it. Priced at $750.00 for a stainless lite. However, if you can't shoot 100gr pills out of a standard 243 win, you have some serious issues. If you can't kill with a simple 100gr btsp, you and your rifle need to take up golf. Keep schidt simple, and you can kill easily out to 500 yards with no issues. I can see if you wanted to make nice shots on animals at 800 yards, switch to a higher BC pill, but guys have been getting it done with lighter projectiles in the 243 for years. Schidt don't get any more simpler than this: New rifle I've been messing with, with a cheap Burris FFII 3-9x40 with ballistic plex reticle and a cheap $21/box Hornady 100 BTSP Interlock bullet: It lays them in there just fine at 500 yards too, as tested. You guys feel free to post some of your 400 yard groups, with your higher bc pills from your 243's. Another example. The girlfriends Model 70 classic compact, shooting the same load, using the same type of scope: I love Tikka's, and like the fact they are making an 8 twist, but to say that is absolutely necessary, is total bullshchidt. Most people/hunters are not going to be shooting over 400 yards on a big game animal. No hubbles needed, and you don't even have to twist turrets. Keep your hunting rigs light, simple and effective. Don't overthink it.. Those that don't think that cheap azzed combo shown above won't cut it, are delusional..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I'd never pick a 1-10 Tikka over a 1-8 sitting on the shelf, but I have a few 1-10 243's and a couple others that are faster and a 6 ARC and Creed. The 108's in the 6 ARC are quite a pile of fun in an AR. Wished I'd been issued one of them years ago!

Haven’t bought a rifle from them but picked up 4 scopes from them in the last 3 months. Extremely impressed with their service, great place to deal with.

105gr hpbt’s are cheaper than anything else in its class, accurate as hell in my guns and kill good on med size game we hunt. Reason enough alone to go 1-8” in .243/6mm offerings.

At .38c/ea and seem to always be available which is a huge plus these days. They’re damn near worth building a gun around.

I have one factory Remington in .243 that will spin them and one that won’t. The next barrels will be 1/8. The 105 is a great bullet.
When I die I hope I don't start voting democrat.
